We are delighted to announce that we are finalists in the Distributor of the Year – South and Distributor of the Year – Project Management categories at this year’s Catering Insight Awards!
The Catering Insight Awards celebrates the best in the catering equipment industry amongst suppliers and distributors. This year saw a record number of entries, with nominations submitted across the UK.
Voting for this year’s Catering Insight Awards will open next week with senior executives receiving an email invitation to cast their votes; suppliers vote for distributors, and distributors vote for suppliers.
The winners will be announced at the annual prestigious gala ceremony on Thursday 30th November at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, St Pauls in London. The ceremony is the highlight of the catering equipment calendar and is set to celebrate excellence within the industry!
Distributor of the Year – South
This category honours distributors from Pembrokeshire to East Anglia, including the competitive London region. It includes companies deemed to have excelled in what they do and how they have overcome challenges to design and install incredible commercial kitchens.
Our strategic investments and restructuring have enabled a significant evolution of our business over the last 12 months, leading to record orders and group turnover in excess of £9m.
A state-of-the-art customer management system has proved to be a powerful resource, giving us full sight of every part of the business, from leads to project sales, maintenance, and asset management. The data provided by the system is enabling us to make detailed strategic decisions to support its customers, including stockholding, training, and service.
It has also enabled us to work more efficiently and attract new clients from additional sectors, including London multi-site operators and B&I.
Notable internal changes include the growth of the sales and projects team due to a rapid rise in demand for our consultancy and Revit and BIM design services, increased warehouse stockholding to boost repair efficiencies, and the installation of solar panels at its HQ.
Distributor of the Year – Project Management
This category honours distributors who have been embracing the challenges when it comes to designing and installing commercial kitchens.
Renowned for our attention to detail and expertise in energy and operational efficiency, we have delivered several high-profile and prestigious projects in 2023, putting the business on course for a record year and a 28% increase in orders.
Client demand and seasonality have meant that some of our most complex schemes have coincided, but we have admirably navigated the inevitable logistical challenges to reaffirm our ability to plan and deliver projects at scale.
Highlights include multiple projects for The Grove and The Sloane Club, new retail and bar spaces at a five-star hotel on Park Lane, and Pavyllon by Yannick Allenio at the Four Seasons London. We have also completed the entire fit-out of Rational UK’s new Customer Experience Centre in Luton.
TAG has been able to expand its sales and projects team in response to the increase in demand for its consultancy and design services. This has included additional designers and project managers, plus significant investment in its Revit and BIM capabilities.
