At the latest ceda Conference and Grand Prix Awards held at The Majestic Hotel and Spa in Harrogate, TAG’s Charlotte Carrie was victor in the Rising Star award 2021.
The two-day conference, now in its sixth year, saw the catering equipment industry come together for a night of celebration on the 25th of November 2021. The awards recognised ceda member distributors who have carried out phenomenal design, project management, installation, and customer service throughout the challenging year 2020, as well as Rising Stars from within the industry.
The Rising Star award recognises and rewards an individual’s outstanding achievement and contribution to the development of a ceda member company.
Four outstanding nominees were shortlisted and interviewed by the judges John Savage and Ron Neville. It was reported that both Savage and Neville were so impressed that all four nominees were awarded as winners.
Adam Mason, the Director General of ceda stated, “The four individuals were outstanding, and it was a privilege to hear their stories, feel their passion, and understand so completely why their employers had nominated them. All four of them remained operational throughout the pandemic, and just that itself speaks absolute volumes as to their importance to their business.”
Charlotte Carrie – Service Coordinator
One key member of staff on the service desk, Charlotte, is the epitome of an unsung hero at TAG and that was why she was nominated. She has progressed to be at a senior service coordinator level despite being one of the youngest and least experienced on the team whilst spending over 75% of her career in the industry and at TAG during the COVID pandemic.
Charlotte is a service desk account manager for several high-end clients who have passed on their kind words and congratulations.
D&D London said, “Always happy to help when I call and goes the extra mile for me. Well done and well deserved.”
London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale shared, “She is a great point of contact for TAG. Thanks for doing what you do, it really does make a difference”
The Dorchester Collection wrote, “Thank you Charlotte for your great work and the support you provide us daily bases. Congratulations! Well done Charlotte!”
We spoke to Charlotte on how she was feeling, “I was very shocked about being nominated in the first place so actually winning felt crazy. I’m very proud and am really looking forward to the future within this industry!”
Despite how stressful Charlotte’s day may be, she always has a smile on her face and remains a happy member of the team, adding to office positivity and morale. Overall, Charlotte has demonstrated an unrivalled level of commitment, tenacity, decision making, and maturity that far exceeds her age, job experience and industry experience.
TAG would like to congratulate Diego Castaneda, Joanne Hamilton, and Luke Slater as joint winners of the Rising Star award.
