The Project
Cake & Flowers is a brand new retail concept at a famous 5* hotel on Park Lane. Located at the front of the hotel with street access, the retail concept is designed as an alternative revenue stream for the hotel whilst demonstrating it’s level of quality, particularly patisserie.
The project was part of a wider ground floor refurbishment project at the hotel. Our design and delivery would need to:
- Work alongside the main contractor, with TAG the specialist contractor for the equipment, displays and refrigeration.
- Design a bespoke array of counters capabale of accommodating the varied retail offering including chilled patisserie, ambient and flower displays.
- Work closely with the interior designer to ensure that the functional fabrication met with the design intent of the interior.
- Design and commission displays that would have dual visual appeal; from the street and from inside.
- Provide a design that maximised on storage capacity and operational efficiency, whilst meeting the limitations of the space
- Ensure that all refrigeration was connected to the existing pack system; this would limit the ambient heat within the space itself, particularly key for the storage of flowers.
This project highlights our collaborative approach to working closely with interior designers to deliver exceptional results for the end-user, without compromising on equipment or installation quality.
