The Brief
Kaspar’s Seafood Bar and Grill at The Savoy offers contemporary seasonal dishes from the land and sea that capture the essence of the natural world.
Our client tasked us with designing a centralized bar that could serve seafood and champagne, providing an interactive dining experience while being flexible enough to accommodate informal lunches and elegant dinners.
Prior to 2013, Kaspar’s was known as the River Room Restaurant. In 2021 it re-opened as The River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay.

The Outcome
As part of a major refurbishment project, we worked with architects and the client to transform the famous River Restaurant.
We designed and installed a central seafood bar as the theatrical focal point, with a completely bespoke counter and fabrication, including a mirror-polished finish to tie in with the restaurant’s art deco interior design.
The bespoke refrigeration includes two 6-drawer under-counter units, two glass display cabinets, and four oyster wells. We designed a bread warming oven to look like a traditional wood-fired oven, adding a further sense of theatre.
We also designed and installed a bespoke curved, refrigerated cheese counter.
We successfully completed the project on time and within budget, working closely with other site contractors to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
