The Project
The refurbished of “The Bar” to Vesper Bar, was part of a wider ground floor refurbishment project at the 5* hotel on Park Lane. It was in fact one of the biggest refurbishment programmes the hotel had embarked on.
The objective of refurbishing the bar, which included giving it a new name, was to create a destination bar to compete with many of London’s other 5* hotels. This included creating a new entrance from Park Lane, to enable non-hotel patrons to use the bar.
Working alongside the interior designer and under management of the main contractor, our role was to design and install a bespoke bar that would maximise on the existing space, increase efficiency but also work seamlessly with the new interior design.
Key features of the project include:
- Streamline the workflow to create a more comfortable and efficient working environment.
- Design a multi-purpose space above the bar on the back wall to accommodate changing storage needs.
- Create bespoke fabrication capable of withstanding heavy usage in peak service times.
- Focus on durability ensured the longevity of the design and minimized future retrofits.
- Utilise commercial bar refrigeration that could be transformed visually with bespoke joinery.
- Provide under bar refrigeration for garnishes that would optimise quality; we chose Adande chef drawers.
- Highlights include our trademark angled bottle wells to maximise capacity, inset bins and chopping boards for ultimate flexibility and integrated jug washers to keep the area self-sustaining during peak periods.
